The Spanish word grapat means "handful" and its creators want every child to have a free and respectful upbringing filled with open-ended playtimes free of expectations and judgments. The pieces should invite and stimulate your own true sense of creativity. For this, they offer play material without instructions and restrictions. As parents, it is our duty to protect this sacred moment without interfering. We just observe and are present: "Be free, play openly!"
Over time, the wood will develop fine dents and scars and this means it has served its purpose, providing hours of free and open-ended play for children, and we really appreciate it. The "imperfection" of wood makes each piece unique - just like us humans!
Each piece is hand painted; the dyes are water-based and non-toxic.
some pieces may lose color when they come in contact with saliva, but that's perfectly fine as all colors are 100% safe and non-toxic. The elements are finished with vegetable waxes and oils. The oils may have a strong aroma at first, but will mellow over time. Their packaging is completely plastic-free.

The wood used comes from sustainable forests and has the PEFC 14-35-00485 certificate.
The coatings are made with waxes and oils of plant origin.
Some products also contain a cotton bag. All fabrics are GOTS certified (Global Organic Textile Standard)
All packaging is 100% plastic-free. The boxes are also manufactured from heavy cardboard, which ensures the life of the box for about 5 years.
Most of the products consist of one piece. Nevertheless, glue must be used to assemble some elements. The glue used is 100% formaldehyde-free.
All products are manufactured and tested in accordance with European (EN71 1-2-3), American (ASTM) toy safety standards and ISO8124.
For the best care, the pieces should be stored in a cool and dry place, they can be cleaned with a damp cloth and dried immediately. Immersion of parts in water and use of disinfectants are also not recommended.
