Meet Nathaniel Santa Cruz:
Nathaniel Santa Cruz is a talented chalk artist and the creative force behind Wondergarten.net. A proud family man, Nathaniel’s journey into art began as he started illustrating chalkboards for his children’s stories, combining his love of creativity with his passion for nurturing imagination.
Before becoming an artist, Nathaniel served as a Geospatial Intelligence Analyst (0261) in the Marine Corps, where he worked as a mapmaker and cartographer, focusing on humanitarian relief efforts and hydro surveys. Afterward, he earned a Master of GIS (MGIS) from the University of Washington and worked as a program manager for Google Maps. His background in mapping and spatial analysis gives his art a unique perspective and attention to detail.
Nathaniel is also an old soul with a love for the Victorian era—something reflected in his personal style, including his signature mustache, which has become a part of his identity. A fun fact: his wife and friends insist he never shave it!
Together with his wife, who supports and inspires his creative ventures, Nathaniel is committed to bringing joy and wonder to families through his whimsical chalk art, all while cherishing the time spent with his own.
